The episode was produced in 2002 and premiered worldwide on December 8, 2002 in the United Kingdom and on Nickelodeon in the United States on September 19, 2003.

Synopsis[]

Mezmer's is a popular hangout spot for teens all over town, but the owner, Mr. Mezmer, has a strict "No Robots" policy. Desperate to get in, Jenny dons the new and improved Exo-Skin to pass off as a "perfectly normal human girl". But what happens when the Exo-Skin refuses to let Jenny take it off will result in big trouble.

Plot[]

Robophobia[]

The Return of Raggedy Android (2002) begins at the popular teen hangout and diner Mezmer's, where Brad has just been hired and is talking to Jenny about how much he loves his new job.

Suddenly, Mr. Mezmer notices Jenny's presence and kicks her out, stating that robots are not allowed. Jenny storms home and tries to find her Exo-Skin from Raggedy Android (2002).

A Normal Teenage Girl[]

Dr. Wakeman tells Jenny that she's been improving the Exo-Skin, but it still isn't ready. However, she offers Jenny a fitting, which the teenage robot happily accepts. However, as she tries it on, the skin slowly consumes her in an uncomfortable process. Suddenly, with a burst of light, Jenny's Exo-Skin has fully formed, and she looks just like a normal teenage girl, ready to go back to Mezmer's.

Back at the diner, Jenny arrives with her new look, and immediately, several male patrons fall for her and offer to buy her a frosty beverage. She finds Brad, still working there, and with a spill of chocolate ice cream on her hand resulting in a short-circuit, he discovers that it's Jenny in disguise. With the ice cream machine malfunctioning, Brad steps aside.

Meet the Space Bikers[]

Suddenly, all of the lights in the diner go out, and two green aliens enter: Letta, the leader of the Space Bikers, and Lenny. Mr. Mezmer promptly kicks them out upon revealing that, in an oddly specific twist, Mezmer's not only bans robots from the establishment, but also Space Bikers. In a rage, Letta smashes the diner's jukebox, and leaves. Jenny tries to stop them, but a voice, seemingly in her head, tells her that "a normal young lady would let the BOYS handle this."

Mr. Mezmer promises everybody that a new jukebox will be installed the next day, and as the patrons leave, Don Prima offers Jenny to dance with him when they next meet.

Sinister Skin[]

That night, Jenny removes her Exo-Skin and calls it a night. As she sleeps, the Exo-Skin is revealed to be sentient, and slips itself back onto Jenny.

The next morning, Jenny awakens to find that she is already in her Exo-Skin, which she finds out is sentient and is talking through the back of her neck. The Exo-Skin convinces her to keep the skin on and not only look like a normal girl, but also behave like one, insisting that "normal is good."

Later, at Mezmer's, Jenny's Exo-Skin has completely overtaken her: she is trying to order something from the menu, which Brad immediately recognizes as abnormal: since Jenny is a robot, she doesn't HAVE to eat.

Return of the Space Bikers[]

Suddenly, the Space Bikers return and crash through one of the diner's windows. Not only are Letta and Lenny there, but the rest of the rang as well: Olga, Sludge, and Tammy. The Space Bikers start terrorizing everybody in the diner.

Brad demands Jenny to step in and save the day, but with Jenny still under the control of the Exo-Skin, just sits and paints her fingernails. However, when it escalates to the Space Bikers locking Mr. Mezmer in the diner's freezer and giving Brad an incredibly painful "atomic wedgie", Jenny realizes that action must be taken. However, her Exo-Skin once again tries to stop her, arguing that crime-fighting is not something that a normal girl does. Jenny insists that she isn't a normal girl and tries to pull off her skin.

By pouring a milkshake over her head, Jenny finally rids herself of the Exo-Skin and is back to being a crime-fighting teenage robot. She attacks the Space Bikers and they promptly flee.

Some People Never Change[]

Jenny frees Mr. Mezmer from the freezer, and he immediately accuses her of ruining his diner. Jenny leaves along with the rest of the patrons, and Brad quits his job.

Mr. Mezmer is left alone in his destroyed diner, saddened. Suddenly, the Exo-Skin latches onto him, seemingly claiming him as its next victim. The episode ends here.
